About the Draws

LOTTO MAX draws are held every Friday.

When the LOTTO MAX Jackpot exceeds $50 Million, additional MAXMILLIONS draws will occur. The main Jackpot will remain at $50 Million, and one additional set of winning numbers will be drawn for each additional $1 Million attributed to the Jackpot category.

For example, if the Jackpot would be $60 Million, there will be one Main Draw for $50 Million, and 10 additional MAXMILLIONS draws for $1 Million each. There are no subsidiary prizes on MAXMILLIONS numbers.

Any main Jackpot or MAXMILLIONS prizes not won will carry over to the Jackpot (or MAXMILLIONS prizes, if applicable) for the subsequent draw.

Bonus Number Selection

On each draw date, the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) will cause (via ball drop) seven main numbers and one Bonus number to be drawn at random from among all numbers from one to 49.

In addition, the ILC will use a random number generator to draw seven additional winning numbers for each of the MAXMILLIONS prizes when those additional prizes are offered.

1}The maximum amount any single LOTTO MAX Jackpot will reach is $50 Million. When the funds allocated to the 7/7 prize category exceed $50 Million, the 7/7 Pools Fund shall be divided into (a) a main Jackpot prize of $50 Million, and (b) a variable number of $1 Million prizes. These additional sets of numbers must be matched exactly to win; no subsidiary prizes will be offered.

*The fixed prizes for 3 of 7, 3 of 7^+Bonus and 4 of 7 are payable from the Prize Fund (a minimum of 48% of sales). The balance remaining is the Pools Fund, from which all other pari-mutuel shares of prizes are paid.
